Sabertooth Baseball Season Information
January - August
Communication
All teams will use the communication app Heja, this will cover all team communication, as well as monthly/game/tournament fees, its very simple to use and allows for great communication as well as receiving practice/game time schedules in advance.
Season Length
7 month season, January will start our 3 week winter clinic and ramp up to the season, and team practices/games will begin the first week of Feb. Each team will practice twice per week and be assigned to a travel/select league (Irvine Select) that will run a 3 month regular season (March, April, May) This should allow us to get our game times/locations weeks in advance. We will finish our 2022 season the first week of August.
We offer a Sabertooth Fall Ball Season for the Months of Sept-Oct-Nov, that includes 3 weekends of play each month and 2 weekly practices
Attendance
Strict emphasis on attending practices/games. To put it frankly, if you do not attend practices you will not play, and missing excessive practices/games will lead to dismissal from the team. We are looking for committed players/families, If you do not feel as though you can commit to the season, no hard feelings but this is probably not a fit for you.
Fees
Monthly Fee : $200 (Covers 8 practices a month, which comes out to about 12-14$ Per Hour for practice)
Uniform Fee: $220 (Spring) 65$(Fall)
Game Fee: $10-15 (Per Game/Scrimmage)
Tournament Fees: $50 - $110 (Per Tournament, depending on cost, location, legnth, etc)
Coaching/Practice
Each team will have 2 assigned dedicated coaches per team. One will be a current or former college level baseball player. Practices will be joint based on field size (ex. 7/8U, 9/10U, 11/12U will practice together). A minimum of 3 coaches will be present at all practices.
We very rarely allow dad coaches in the program and if we do they are not permitted to make roster/lineup/playing time decisions.
Private Lessons
Private lessons will be offered for the following areas Pitching, Infield, Outfield, Hitting, Strength, Speed/Agility. What is extra cool, is that your players private coach will now have the opportunity to see your player in action at practice/games and take that information/feedback into account for their private instruction
